Game Design

One of the most exciting developments in the creative field has been the explosion of career opportunities in the area of game design.  The career or profession of game design is not at all like what the occupation was in years gone by.  Because of all of the technical advances associated with gaming, the profession of game design requires very well trained men and women.

When it comes to obtaining an education in advance of a game design career, a person can obtain a certification, bachelors degree and even a masters degree in disciplines directly related to game design.  With that said, most game developers engage in a course of on the job training and mentoring in addition to any formal education that was obtained.

There are many different career options available to a person interested in game design.   This includes positions with large companies and positions with independent firms heavily involved in game design.
