MBA Specializations

As part of the business management program, students have the opportunity to either pursue a general management program or complete a specialization. However, specializations, are an option and not a requirement. All students receive the same MBA whether or not they complete a specialization. But in deciding whether to complete a specialization, students ought to consider their career goals and professional development. Also, students should complete a series of electives outside of their specializations.

Occasionally, courses may be offered on an experimental basis (designated by a "697" course number). The courses may be eligible for credit toward a specialization and will always count toward elective functional area credit. If a course is not listed on this website, students may contact the Management, in order to determine specialization and/or functional area distribution. In addition, independent study and transfer credits also count toward specialization and functional area electives. Students should again contact the Management to have these credits assessed and credited appropriately.
