Law Enforcement, Policing and Investigation

One of the fastest growing professions in the field of criminal justice is law enforcement, policing and investigation.  Indeed, this is one of the most basic degrees that you can obtain through a course of study in criminal justice.  A person interested in law enforcement, policing and investigation has two educational paths that he or she can elect to pursue.  First, a person can obtain an associates degree in law enforcement, policing and investigation.  In the alternative, a person can obtain a bachelors degree in law enforcement, policing and investigation. 

Once a person has completed his or her course of study, the candidate for employment in law enforcement, policing and investigation will have to undertake supplemental training through the law enforcement agency with which he or she wants to associate.  Moreover, a person will have to pass an examination sponsored by the agency.

When it comes to a career in law enforcement, policing and investigation, there are solid opportunities for advancement, compensation is solid and a person has the opportunity in most instances to retire after twenty years of dedicated service in law enforcement, policing and investigation.
